The (hard) disk space is the primary feature to look for in the web hosting plan. Disk space includes three things – (1) files (code and design) of your website, (2) database and (3) emails.
The disk space should be anticipated in advance and correspondingly the plan should be selected. If you expect a high email flow on your website, disk space for emails should be taken into consideration separately. In the case of dynamic websites, the number of files, database, and emails keeps on increasing with time and hence it requires a thorough approximation of disk space. For example, a shopping portal will have no increase in code files but with every new product, the database and the number of files (product images) increase. Such a portal has a good exchange of emails too. Thus, larger disk space is required for shopping portals.
